Mark Twain Award
Recently we have finished reading our four Mark Twain Nominees: Toes, The Old Willis Place, Abduction, and The Last Holiday Concert. Which one did you enjoy reading the most? Tell about why you would choose your favorite to win the 2006-2007 Mark Twain Award.

The Old Willis Place is my favorite book because the book is a mystery and I love mystery. I also love how the athor put ghosts in the story. The book is realistic fiction and I love realistic fiction. I think this book is the best book in the libray ( so far).
My favorite Mark Twain nominee was probaly Toes becasue it had adventure and it was kind of sad. I really like cats so that got me to really like the book. It was pretty funny too because he was scared of jack-o-lanterns. Thats why I choose this book to win.
I liked Abduction, Because It was about a man tring to kid nap his son! T also liked it Because you never know what's going to happen next. I didn't like Toes because it's just about a cat with seven toes. The Old Willis Place was excellent because it was about ghosts but I still like Abduction beter. Ididn't like the Holiday Concert because I don't like concerts. So that's why I like Abduction best!
This year I thought of which one I would choose. I think the best book is The Old Willis Place, because it is kind of a spoke story, its kind of like Harry Poter after you start reading its very hard to stop. The Old Willis Place is one of my favorite books if you read it it might be yours to.
My favorite was The Oid Willis Place. Because it was a scary story and because there was ghost and that made me think of real ghost. It was a mystery and you did not know what was coming next
My favorite book was Toes , because it was funy. Toes is a cat who is born with 7 toes that's how he got his name. These extra toes give him the strengeth to do stuff and give people better lives. There are 2 parts that I don't like they are when Toes's brother's pick on him and when he dies. I think this book should win the mark twain award for those resons
My favorite mark twain book is The Old Willis Place. I like this book because I like mystries. I also like the ghosts story and this is a ghost story. I like fiction books and this is the best fiction book there is that's why it should win!

I think the Old Willis Pleace is my favoite because it's a scary story and I like scary storys. I think this book sould win because it's a mystery about what happened to the kids. If you read this book you might get freaked out too. If you read this book you might never stop.
I like the stoy toes because his mother dies but he forgets because his two brothers tease him all the time. He also gets lost and makes a friend with a man named Sebastion. Toes makes it his new home. Well, that is until he finds his way back home. and he finds his brothers are dead. A year after his brothers die, the story comes to a sad ending when toes dies.
abdvcted is my favorite becaseit is about a kidnaper and not about love and stuf I don't like. Also I like that it is always A surprise when you read it.
My favorite book is The Old Willis Place because it was a gost story. It was also a very intresing story. This is the best book in the libariy. That is why I what this book to win the Mark Twain Award.
I piced Abducted because It tell's about a brother and a sister that are no longer together.So the dad takes the brother named Matt.The dad takes Matt to a base ball game were Matt metts his sister Bonnie.Then Matt stopes the dad from killing Bonnie.Matt stopes the dad by thorthing a base ball at the dad's head.
My favorite book was Abduction.I like the part when they think the dog that was at the park was not theirs but it was.I didn't like the part when he takes the child.This is a great book to read.
I picked Abducted because I like books about kid napping. My favorite part is when the boy got kid napped that was interesting because I wonderd if he was going to get back.

I would choose Abduction. Because it can teach you a lesson about staying with a parint in crowdid places.Also because it's not a bad book for kids.
My favorite book is The Old Willis Place because it's a scary story. This is the very first gost story I've ever read and I loved it. I would recamed this book to people who like gost storys. That is why I whant it to win Mark Twain Award.
